BRS RCS100 Recirculated cooling water system

If the laboratory does not have supply of chill water, RCS 100 is a simple cooling water circulation system conveniently to provide cooling water to chill the condenser continuously and the bioreactor as needed for temperature control. However, the temperature shall depend on the supply of ice or ice pack during the process. The cooler in various sizes is filled with distilled water (preferably) which is recirculated between the cooler and bioreactor by a recirculation pump and chilled by ice packs or ice through the cooling coil. Since a normal cell culture operated at 37 deg C and generates not much heat, the setup may be more practical. For a microbial fermentation process running at 28 deg C and generating a lot of fermentation heat, the setup may not be as convenient and practical.
