SEMI-AUTOMATED SIP (STERILIZATION-IN-PLACE) SYSTEM

semi-sip MA AL.jpg

This SIP system consists of a stainless steel (S/S) cylindrical cover sealed to either the MA100 or AL100 bioreactor vessel’s S/S jacketed base and is equipped with a pressure gauge, a safety valve, a temperature sensor, and a diaphragm control valve; all of which are connected to the control console. This system is used when an adequately sized autoclave is not available for the size of vessel used. The entire sequence of sterilization is automated except for the initial setup and connection of steam supply to the system. The steam can be supplied by a small lab autoclave or a small steam generator. If a lab autoclave is used, the autoclave sterilization temperature must be a few degrees (>2 degree C) higher than that for this SIP system.
