  • [OPTIONAL] Semi-automated Steam Sterilization in Place (SIP) using a stainless steel (S/S) cylindrical cover sealed to the S/S jacketed base. Sterilization temperature is controlled with the steam inlet generated from a steam generator such as a small lab autoclave. In general, most lab autoclaves can accommodate 5L bioreactor vessels with heights less than 70 cm.

    *Air flow rate is manually controlled by a rotameter and is used to maintain constant liquid circulation rate within the vessel.

    **It is most efficient to use O2 and head pressure to control DO. To control O2, an additional rotameter with a ON/OFF control valve [OPTIONAL] is required.

    To control head pressure of the vessel, a pressure control module is required [OPTIONAL].

    A mass flow controller (MFC) is not required unless customer needs to continually control and monitor air flow rate.
