The MA BFBR is one type of Fixed Bed BioReactor (MA FBBR) that employs high density polyethylene carriers for microorganisms to form the biofilm; and performs the function of a biofilm bioreactor including bioconversion, biosorption, waste water treatment, etc.
The AL Moving Bed BioReactor (AL MBBR) is commonly used in the waste water treatment industry with floating biofilm carriers. Our MBBR is a modified AL bioreactor containing high density polyethylene biofilm carriers to perform bioconversion, biosorption, etc.
The MA FBBR Fixed Bed BioReactor (MA FBBR) comprises a mechanically agitated bioreactor and a column packed with a bed of 3D porous carriers or the like. This system allows to easily immobilize most of the cells easily and to reliably perform a perfusion culture for cell cultures.
